Key Points Along the Way

Departure from Palas de Rei: The stage begins in the town centre. If you stay at Casa Andaina, you are literally on the Camino — walk out the door and follow the yellow arrows.

Melide (km 15): Midpoint of the stage and the capital of pulpo á feira (Galician-style octopus). A mandatory stop for lunch. This is where the Camino Primitivo joins.

Ribadiso (km 24): Beautiful medieval bridge over the Iso River. Perfect spot to cool off in summer.

Arrival in Arzúa (km 29): Famous for Arzúa-Ulloa cheese (Protected Designation of Origin). Stroll through the centre and try the cheese at any bar.
